Oprah Winfrey (surprise) is television's top earner according to Forbes.com. What may come as a surprise, though, is just how much dough O raked in: $260 million. That's more than four times what the No. 2 earner, Jerry Seinfeld pulled in. That being said, I think I would go Jerry's route -- he basically made $60 million by doing nothing. All his money can be attributed to those sweet syndication deals for Seinfeld. Other names on the list include: 3) Simon Cowell $45 million 4) David Letterman, $40 million, 5) Donald Trump and Jay Leno (both $32 million) 7) Dr. Phil McGraw and Judy “Judge Judy” Sheindlin (both $30 million) 9) George Lopez, $26 million 10) Kiefer Sutherland, $22 million On down the list are Regis Philbin ($21 million); Tyra Banks ($18 million); Rachel Ray ($16 million); Katie Couric and Ellen DeGeneres ($15 million); Ryan Seacrest ($14 million); Matt Lauer ($13 million); Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer (both $12 million); and Meredith Vieira ($10 million).
