DWTS: Post Cuban Depression

Our Mavs man was the last plainly unskilled dancer to be cut. From here on out, every elimination is going to be tough. Or is it? Mel B, the Spice girl not only still scary but even scarier after all these years, won the judges' voting on Monday night with a perfect score of 30. But if her rhumba was an example of perfection on DWTS, then give me flaws.

Speaking of imperfections, another professional girl, Sabrina, she of the Cheetah Girls, finally showed a chink in her armor with her foxtrot when, about halfway through, she lost her footing. She didn't fall, but all the judges noted the misstep and her 25 landed her in a tie for fourth with soap hunk Cameron. The comeback kid of the season is Jennie Garth who appeared to be in danger of sputtering out a few weeks ago turned in (IMHO) the performance of the night with her slinky mambo.

Jane Seymour finished last with Marie Osmond just a point ahead. They seem obvious picks to be the bottom two tomorrow night. Marie is clearly the least capable dancer of the remaining contestants. But she does have her fans and she show a willingness to do anything to win by fainting last night -- seriously, there are a unsettling number of people trafficking the theory that her fainting was just an act to gain sympathy votes. Really?

Of the celebrities remaining, Marie is the least skilled, with Jane, Mel B, Jennie and Helio following in approximately that order. Of those, Helio is the least famous among them -- how much overlap is there between Indy auto racing and Dancing with the Stars? But he is cute, and he's one of only two men remaining in a season where the fix was clearly in for stacking the field with female ringers (Sabrina) to guarantee a woman wins. So who will it be tomorrow tonight?

My bet: Marie
