February 13, 2008Already, the Idol message boards are filling up with outraged Josiah Leming fans who want the show to somehow this and bring him back. I'm doubting that's gonna happen, but I agree with them. He would have been so much fun to watch each week; seems like he had the potential to either blow us away or bomb out, but both would be done in a spectacular fashion. Now we will never know. Alas. (But maybe all of this attention will at least help get him out of the car and into an apartment.) The entry "Idol: Those who have left us" has no entry tags. Before I forget: The little CGI wizardry that gave us Ryan and Hayden Christiansen at the pyramids eating some sort of sandwich? Dumbest thing that has ever been emitted from my television. There was simply no point! See? TV shows do need writers. (I'm assuming that bit of brilliance was created by hacks during the strike.) The entry "Idol: How about that opener?" has no entry tags. Twenty minutes into the show, we know four folks in our top 24: rather irritating rocker nurse Carla Overmyer, sweet 16-year-old David Archuleta, crazy-haired rocker David Cook and tattooed Carly Smithson. No Texans thus far. No Texans on the horizon, as far as I can tell. Sad. The entry "American Idol: The Chosen Ones" has no entry tags. American Idol reveals the final 24 contestants tonight. Who will you be rooting for? The entry "'American Idol:' Who's your favorite?" has no entry tags. ABC.com has posted a selection of clever e-valentines from Lost and other hit shows such as Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. Have fun! The entry "O Valentine, I'm LOST without you..." has no entry tags. The Ausiello Report over on TVGuide.com has a timely Q&A with Lost showrunner Carlton Cuse. And I'm happy to say that the news is, overall, pretty good. Mr. Cuse says he and his Lost producing/writing partner, Damon Lindelof, "are going to try to make five more episodes before the end of May, which is ambitious. But we've found ourselves in a situation where we had eight episodes of story planned, and we're going to try to fit that into five hours of the show." The Ausiello story has more details and no spoilers, so read and enjoy. The entry "LOST: The latest news on revised S4" has no entry tags. |
