For those still gnashing their teeth over car-dwelling Josiah Leming's departure from the show, he seems to be doing fine. Votefortheworst.com landed a phone interview with him, in which the doe-eyed boy said he's already sold 700 to 800 albums through his myspace page. That should give him some cash for life's basic necessities!
A few more tidbits from the hourlong interview (which contained about 15 minutes of content and 45 of filler time that I'll never get back in my life):
- Josiah is looking on the bright side about getting kicked off when he did. For example, now he doesn't have to do the cheesy Ford commercials! "There's a point when you look at yourself and say, yeah, it's exposure and publicity, but really -- is it the light you want to be cast [in]?" Those wacky skits and crazy wigs "might have marred my career forever," he says.
- Of course, none of this would apply if he were still on the show: "I'm not gonna lie; I was devastated," he says. "I would have done anything to get into the top 24."
- About the show's portrayal of Josiah as a big crybaby: "I'm really not that emotionally distraught."
- Ladies, he's single and looking. But he notes that at 5'4", "Tall girls intimidate me."
