American Idol: Losing two guys?

Ryan just said they'll eliminate the bottom two girls and the bottom two guys each week until they're left with the remaining 12. Yikes!
I worry for our local guys who are still unknowns. Then again, the message-board folks have started rallying for them, calling the four dudes with no airtime "the lost boys" and urging people to vote to keep them in. So maybe it'll work. (Of course, all of this is moot if they're horrible.)
