Seems that Kristy Lee Cook, the top-24 blonde who loves horses (not to be confused with the top-24 blonde who hates R-rated movies or the top-24 blonde who does Britney imitations -- or the top-24 blonde from Oklahoma who looks exactly like Carrie Underwood) has local ties. She was once managed by the Dallas-based Marty Rendleman, whose past clients include Lee Ann Rimes. Rendleman brought Kristy Lee to Texas a few years ago, and she eventually began headlining at Cowboys in Arlington, among other gigs.
OK, so here's the six-degrees-of-separation part: Kristy Lee made a video, which was shot locally and also featured a dude acting as her love interest. The dude in question? The Bachelorette's own Lanny Lawrence. (Remember? He was the cute Dallas farm guy whose mom freaked a lot of viewers out due to her, um, strong personality.)
The video can be found at www.rendleman.net. It was allegedly shot in 2001, which, if true, means it was pre-Bachelorette. Good to know, because that means Lanny got better-looking with age. (I'm not saying he's hideous in this; he just might have wanted to keep that shirt on.)
