March 4, 2008My money's on Luke "Perry" Menard and Danny Noriega. Simon hated the latter's version of "Tainted Love," and Simon's word is pretty much golden in these parts. The entry "Idol: Who won't get the votes?" has no entry tags. That performance may be one of the more controversial with fans, because he clearly doesn't possess the power that some of the other singers have. But who cares! He's a treat to watch. (And listen to.) The entry "Idol: Jason Castro" has no entry tags. She's a tad bit loopy this evening. The entry "Idol: Paula" has no entry tags. I'm sure I wasn't the only one wondering if Ryan or the judges would bring up David's, ahem, tawdry past as a nude dancer. No one said a word. (Which makes me think Frenchie Davis, with her topless photos that got her kicked out, must be seething at home.) The entry "Idol: David Hernandez" has no entry tags. I liked him tonight, although his tendency to keep licking his lips started getting to me. Then again, he was thirsty and had to pee before he took the stage. Thanks for that, Ryan! The entry "Idol: David Archuleta" has no entry tags. From the first time he performed in the top 24 (remember that thrift-store-find overcoat?), Luke has always struck me as a sloppy individual. Tonight, his hair looks greasy. The entry "Idol: Another Menard thought" has no entry tags. Luke Menard is up first tonight. So after all of the many songs given to us in that lovely decade, he opts to do "Wake Me Up Before You Go -Go." (Hey, don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo!) And he didn't sing it well or in a fun way. In my humble opinion. The entry "American Idol: The '80s" has no entry tags. |
