I agree that Jason is great to watch - no question, the guy is HOT. But further I'd say he's such an original. No power vocals, no booming hooks to reel you in, this guy is a song stylist, rather than a vocalist. Think Willie Nelson rather than Josh Grobin. He's got the charm and looks of a John Mayer, and the loose style of a Lyle Lovett. We had sort of given up on AI till Jason Castro strolled onto the set and simply sat down, strummed his guitar and sang his songs. WOW!

Awesome observations, Judy! For so many seasons, I think we fans have been sucked into thinking that only the biggest, most booming voices stand a chance of winning. But Jason is finally helping us see the light. :)
