The girl has Houdini-like powers to escape elimination. Instead, it was Amanda Overmyer who is no longer with us, but I doubt the rocker nurse is all that broken up about it. Her comment that she was using her time on the show to drum up ticket sales for her upcoming solo shows may not have gone over well with viewers. (I mean, aren't they supposed to be there to be the next American Idol? In theory, anyway?) |

One of the morning DJ's proclaimed that kicking Amanda O. off was wrong. Meanwhile a writer in Kansas City wrote that "her Gretchen Wilson-meets-Janis Joplin routine finally rolled to a halt on two flat tires and an empty gas tank Wednesday". She was likeable, but it was the same show every week no matter what she was handed to sing. She might do well in smaller venues and biker bars. Now about that Kristy Lee: one of these weeks she will be the worst one there and the voters will see that.

What is all this fuss about Jason Castro? I don't find anything appealing about him at all. I think he looks GOOFY, acts GOOFY and therefore must be goofy. As for his singing, he should be next to go after Kristy. Can't stand looking at him or listening to him.
