New Otherton: Locke's group gathers and he enters with Miles, who is still bound at his wrists. Locke says Miles now will "share with us why they're here." Miles: "We're here for him," gesturing toward Ben. Hugo observes that they've all known that for, like, ages already. So what's the big deal? Sawyer asks. Turn Ben over! But Ben says they can't do that, because once they have him, then their "rescuers" will kill all the Losties too. Miles does not dispute this. "So now he's one of us?" Claire asks unbelievingly, looking at Ben.
Ben then reveals to them that his spy on the boat is Michael -- yes, "that Michael." Disbelief and skepticism ensue in the peanut gallery. Apparently nobody in Camp Locke, except maybe Locke his ownself, is quite ready to forgive Michael or Ben just yet. Murmur. Afterward, Sawyer asks Locke why he didn't mention anything about the $3.2 million that Miles was trying to extort from Ben. Locke says that since there's not exactly a bank on the Island, he didn't think it was terribly important. Miles merely smirks and says, "Linus will find a way to get it." On the boat, a fight breaks out on deck as Captain Gault forcibly stops one or two crew members from leaving in the tender. Sayid then catches Michael and asks him why he's there. "I'm here to die," Michael says. Ben gives Alex a map to the Temple, their "sanctuary" where the other Others are camped, and tells her to flee with Karl and Danielle. The alleged "rescuers" are a mortal danger to them all, so he wants Alex out of harm's way. "Your mother will protect you," Ben says. They agree to go. |
