Andrew Lloyd Webber's take on Jason's performance last night: "I don't think Jason would have taken my advice, whatever I'd said. That was probably the most curious song choice I've ever known in my career.
"I didn't want to have to agree with Simon last night -- I think he's really talented -- but my goodness, I don't think he was happy with it. He couldn't have been."
Wow. Rude much?

I disagree with you. That was not rude. That was a Master being bluntly, honestly but professionally upset that some young whip refused to take direction. I wrote this over on neighborsgo.com: To all of you dear Jason fans: Jason has had a flip attitude all the way through this and I honestly do not think he's clear on the importance of where he is and I really don't think he likes being there! And now I will "bluntly, honestly but professionally" state that I cannot believe that Two-Time-Re-Start Brooke was saved. She must have some huge fan base stuffing the ballot box!

I see your points, but I still think Mr. Webber was rude. He could have said what he wanted to say (that Jason's performance was a failure) without a) being so blunt; and b) going on and on and on about how terrible it was. Did you notice that the camera cut to the judges as he was talking? They all had these embarrassed smiles on their faces, as if they were enduring their ol' senile Grandpa's latest tirade. All I'm saying is that Andrew Lloyd Webber didn't make Andrew Lloyd Webber look very classy.

No it was not rude of ALW to say what he said. It was, however, incredibly rude of Jason to thumb his nose not only at ALW but at the American public by his "I don't care" attitude. Jason blew off ALW's advice. He didn't bother to find out one thing about the song or the show it came from: such research is what singers, REAL singers, do, so they can interpret the song.

Jason cannot sing two words without having to take a breath. He is no singer. The two best performances ended up in the bottom two last night, and the worst two performances were safe.

Jason's attitude is deplorable.

I don't see evidence of Jason's "I don't care" attitude. To me, it seems like he's keeping the show in proper perspective. It's not the end of the world if he gets voted off, after all.
Plus, you could tell he was nervous about the results last night. It's not like he was completely unfazed.

ALW could have cut Jason some slack. Surely ALW knew about Jason's illness--which probably kept him from practicing as much as he needed to before performing. As for all the comments about the way Jason was acting last night--HE DOESN'T FEEL GOOD!!!! If you're not feeling well, then you're probably not going to act like others want you to.

The producers and Andrew Lloyd Webber were so rude to Jason. And Randy is a real jerk this season. Despite all the Jason-bashing, his huge fanbase will keep him in the game. I am a New Yorker but I am rooting for this "charming" and (*ahem*) TALENTED Texan. Go Jason! Go Dreadheads!
