I always hate it when they group the singers on two sides of the stage. It seems mean. I guess we're supposed to already suspect that Jason and Carly are in the bottom two, right? But they won't tell us outright. Annoying. |

This is always the "meanest" elimination night of all--when there's 7 left and they have a top three, a bottom three, and one left to choose the "correct" group. It's been done every season since 4, when Bo refused to take sides. Taylor also did not want to choose sides in season 5, but Nigel told him that he HAD to, so it ended up making him look bad. Last year, Melinda sat on the floor, which is what David A. did. Quit playing around with the contestants' (and viewers') minds!! Enough of the games!!

AACK!! Correction--it's been done every season since 3--I just remembered George Huff had to choose between the 3 divas (Fantasia, Latoya, and Jennifer) on one side and the 3 teens on the other. The divas kept telling George to pick them, pick them, they HAD to be safe. Well, it ended up the divas were the bottom 3 and John Stevens, Diana DeGarmo, and Jasmine Trias were safe. I think that was the night Jennifer Hudson went home.

Wow Teresa, I wish I had your memory! I can barely remember who won last season. :) But I totally agree that forcing the singers to pick a side is ridiculously cruel. Plus, the kids aren't playing along anymore, so they should give it up.
