Well, the time has come to "celebrate her home," as the Ruben song says. Seems like she didn't want to be celebrated home, as she couldn't stop crying. But hey, these things happen. |

I'm so sick of Jason Castro. The whole "John Travolta from battlefield Earth" look is just tired.
He's only sung like 2 songs well, he just doesn't have the range to be the next American Idol.
Just get off of AI and go directly to the TV Guide Channel!

I think you have Jason Castro favoritism, just because he's local. Normally you are more objective.

Linda, Thanks for the comment. I see your point, but in doing Idol commentary over the years, I've always talked about my favorites. (The Idol stuff is meant to be more of a critique -- especially on the blog. So opinions help.) :) And this year, I do indeed favor Jason over some of the other singers -- but I would no matter where he was from. I just like the way he sings, his attitude, etc. I also really liked Michael Johns, and he's from Australia. :)

Just downloaded the "Forever in Blue Jeans" studio version. Jason has a 3 octave spread in this song--a HUGE range!!! All of his studio songs are outstanding!! He definitely deserves to be there.

My left pinkie toe has a better IQ than Jason. I liked him at first but his pothead personality wears me out and he brings nothing every week. Its the same boring monotone style very freaking week. David Cook is the only showman and Archelletta also falls into the same ole thing every week as well!
