Well, I'm glad to see that Carly Smithson wasn't all that broken up about leaving. She actually seemed thrilled, didn't she? So that's a plus. |

Once again IDOL has allowed the program to turn into a "popularity contest" verses who's the "most talented". Both Jason and Brooke should have been gone weeks ago!

For Carly and Syesha to be in the bottom 2 was just wrong. It should have been Jason and Brooke, with Jason getting the boot. That is if you are judging this purely on talent. Carly has more talent then Jason has ever thought of having. This is the first time I have watched Idol, and it will be my last. I guess I had the naive idea that the show would be about talent, not who's the most popular. Boy was I ever wrong.

I am still upset about Michael Johns being eliminated. I no longer make any calls, I lost interest. Jason is the least talented and the only reason he remains is because of all his friends, classmates, etc. making numerous calls. I hate that the really talented of the group keep getting eliminated. It should be him.

Jason Castro and Brooke White should have been eliminated and not Carly Smithson.Jason obviously has no talent. What's going on??? Do we have a Sanjaya effect here???

Jason is a joke with his squeaky little voice. I don't know how he ever got on the show in the first place. I have to assume the teeny boppers are voting for his doofus looks - he certainly has no talent. Brooke is just one step above him.

Wow. Seems like we're experiencing a bit of Castro backlash.

Just watch--next week, Jason will shine with the Neil Diamond songs and everyone will be back on his bandwagon.

Jason and San Jiha from last year are complete jokes and the glaring problem American Idol has concerning presenting the best singers to reach the finals.
When a bunch of infatuated whinning baby girls call over and over again on their mother's cell phones over Jason, it is unfair to the other singers who sang much, much better. Jason should have been eliminated long ago, just like San Jiha.
I recommend American Idol implement a new system that gives the judges some type of ability to override the vote in cases where all 3 judges disagree with the results and it was obvious the pathetic performance that passed the vote was more of a popularity contest dialed in by babling girls who know nothing about singing. THiS IS A SINGING CONTEST, LOOKS DON'T SELL RECORDS ALONE.

It was like Jason Castro stuck his head in a toilet and began singing. It was pathetic and he should have been axed.
American Idol needs to redo their elimination process to include the judges' decision with the votes.

A couple of summers ago, there was a singing competition on called "Rock Star INXS". Their format was for America to vote for the "bottom 3" then the panel decided which member of that "bottom 3" would be eliminated. Perhaps Idol should take note.
