On Tuesday night's finale, viewers learned that -- are you sitting down -- the best dancer won the title of Dancing with the Stars champion. Kristi Yamaguchi came out and once again did what she's done all season, scoring a perfect 30 with her jive routine.

Idol: "What we have witnessed is a knockout"

That sentence from Simon Cowell -- directed at Archuleta after he sang "Imagine" -- might come back to haunt the judge. I mean, a knockout? That's implying that Cook totally bombed, which is not the case.
It also implies that Archuleta is everyone's cup of tea. Again, not true. He's, well, decaf. And some of us need more of a kick.
But who do I think will take the prize? The little guy. It'll be fun to see him weep with joy and all.

Idol: Cook's last song

The singers got to choose one of their own liking for this round, and David C. went with "The World I Know" by Collective Soul. It was slightly subdued, but I liked it. I'm also liking his sleepy eyes tonight. The whole alt-rocker vibe is working.
Meanwhile, the judges are firmly in Archie's pocket.

Idol: Round Two, Part Two

David Archuleta's original-song choice is -- surprise! -- a ballad. It's called "In This Moment." Yes, that title is eerily similar to "A Moment Like This" from the first season.
Anyway, Davie is wearing a suit jacket with giant anchors on it. He sang nicely, although I'm not a fan of either original tune. (No offense, new songwriters!)

Each got to pick one of the top 10 entries from the show's songwriting competition. David Cook chose a rocking number called "Dream Big," which reminded me of something the Jonas Brothers would sing. (No offense to the Jo Bros.) I'm not sure he really "felt" the lyrics. But he looked cute singing them.

Idol: Archuleta's first offering

He did one of my all-time favorite songs, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Not bad, not bad atall. Seems like both Davids really want to win this thing.

Clive Davis' pick for the rocker was "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."
He totally rocked it. .

American Idol: Boxing match

Seeing how the finale features two dudes this year, the show has decided to go with a Rocky theme tonight. "Their prize: a heavyweight title reserved only for superstars," Ryan said, as they showed pics of Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood.
Huh. That's funny: I don't recall Daughtry winning this thing!

Bentley Green, the 7-year-old Dallas rapper who first found fame with his rhymes about the Mavericks, has struck again. On Wednesday's episode of Maury Povich's talk show, he will be named the winner of the Maury's Most Talented Kid contest, which comes with a $10,000 prize.
Maury said in a press release, "Don't forget you saw him on MAURY first, he's going to be a huge international star."
So if you saw him last year when he was on Ellen, just try to forget about that if you would.
Maury airs at 2 p.m. on Channel 33.
