A couple of weeks ago, Bo Bice reminded us why we fell for him during Season Four. He didn't quite possess the electricity of Fantasia, but few humans do. E-mail entry: |

Um, Pickler was season five, she wasn't on with Bo and Carrie!
Oops! You're so right. I stand corrected!
I posted last week, but it never showed up. My vote for the best season of talent goes to season 5 (Chris, Kat, Taylor, Elliott, Bucky, Kellie, Ace, Mandisa, Paris)--I think ALL of them got cd's out of it and this was the only season of AI where I voted for each of the top 9 at least once.
Sorry this didn't show up last week! Human error. Anyway, you make a good point about Season 5 being quite strong, in hindsight. I also think Season 3 was one of the best: Out of it we received not only Ruben and Clay, but Kimberley Locke, Josh Gracin and Kimberly Caldwell. (OK, so Caldwell's not exactly putting out record-breaking CDs. But give the girl points for TV-hosting gigs!)
I say we now vote for the worst AI season in history. Last year, anyone?
AACK!! Ruben and Clay were Season 2. As for the worst seasons--3 and 6. Season 3 had all of those teenagers who just weren't ready, and how could John Stevens outlast Jennifer Hudson?? That was crazy. Last year, I didn't ever feel a connection with any of the singers, so I never voted. Several of them were quite good, but I never got the "wow" factor that Simon talks about.
Sorry! I meant to type 2, not 3. (I'm having major difficulties keeping my seasons straight, it seems!) I agree with you on your assessments of 3 and 6, but in my opinion, last season was slightly more off than the others. Exhibit A: Sanjaya. Exhibit B: The beat-boxing runner-up. I'm not saying Blake has no talent; it just doesn't transition that easily into the real world of record sales.
