Each got to pick one of the top 10 entries from the show's songwriting competition. David Cook chose a rocking number called "Dream Big," which reminded me of something the Jonas Brothers would sing. (No offense to the Jo Bros.) I'm not sure he really "felt" the lyrics. But he looked cute singing them. |

Round 2: David A. I agree with you, David C. didn't click with his choice, but the lyrics in David A.'s song express nearly perfectly why he is in the competition. He sang and lived those words tonight.

I actually listened to about 10 of the original song entries when they were available on AI's website for voting. I couldn't do any more as they all started sounding alike. I think I voted for one that the Dreadheads were supporting. I thought both guys last night did fine with their choices, but I really doubt we'll ever hear these on the radio.
