Tonight's episode of Lost features Locke-centric flashbacks, and we mean waaay-back flashbacks, to John at ages 5 and 16. ABC's official ep summary says: Locke discovers the location of Jacob's cabin, and life aboard the freighter becomes increasingly perilous. For some spoilerish stuff, go to the jump... Among the recurring characters in this week's episode: the enigmatic Dr. Christian Shephard (John Terry), the ageless Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell), and the possibly evil Matthew Abbadon (Lance Reddick). Jeff Fahey also is back as pilot Frank Lapidus, who seems to be one of the few friends the Lostaways have on the freighter. We'll renew acquaintance with a character we haven't seen in a long time: Horace Goodspeed (Doug Hutchison). Remember him? He was the guy who recruited Ben's dad, Roger Linus, into the Dharma Initiative back in "The Man Behind the Curtain." According to last week's previews, Horace talks to Locke, telling him that they have been waiting for him a long time. What he tells Locke won't necessarily make lots of sense, Horace admits, because he has "been dead for 12 years." (Geez louise: Does anyone ever actually die on this Island?) That scene is undoubtedly related to the sneak peek shown on ABC.com, where Locke shows Hugo a hundred heaped corpses and tells him that Ben (who stands to one side, looking understandably grim) is responsible for the horrors of the Dharma Death Pit. BTW: After tonight's ep, only three more hours of Lost remain for Season 4. And all three hours count as part of the triple-threat finale, "No Place Like Home." Be aware this finale will be oddly split into two parts: one hour to air on May 15th, and two hours on May 29th. (The two-hour finale of Grey's Anatomy will air on May 22nd.) Want more?
