Rycroft, now doing the talk-show circuit after being dumped by Jason Mesnick just last week, will be taking over the spot of Nancy O'Dell, who's on the injured list with a torn meniscus (that's knee cartilage for you lucky so-and-so's who've never become BFFs with the X-Ray tech or with your physical therapy nurse). At least that's what E Online is saying. I guess it's the least ABC could do after airing the cringe-inducing embarrassment that The Bachelor turned out to be. It's easier - and more sanitary - than a pound of flesh. We'll know for sure tonight when the replacements are announced during the two-hour season premiere of DWTS. I THOUGHT IT WAS A FANTASTIC DECISION TO MAKE MELISSA A PART OF DANCING WITH THE STARS! I THINK THAT SHE'LL BE GREAT. IT'S ALOT BETTER THAN HER LAST PARTNER! HE'LL BE SEEING "STARS"
EVENTUALLY!! LOL
There's a list online somewhere that shows that these Bachelor and Bachelorette relationships never last, not even to the wedding stage. Trista and Ryan are the only exception.
Some of the Bachelor/ettes try again, which seems really strange to me. Lorenzo Borghese, the "prince" from Season 9 is now producing his own show with the same set-up. He's only starting with 10 women instead of 25. The show is only on the web, in August, and it's called America's Next Princess.
If I root for the guy, there might be more shows like this, and we DON'T want that.
